This role is responsible for being the point of contact between the company and the EDC through networking and building effective relationships. This role must also develop rapport with new EDCs and provide support that will continually improve the relationship, and grow collection yields.
Drive performance within the companys Late stage and Legal collections processes aimed at achieving set performance targets on all external soft and legal collection account.

Formal qualification(s):

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4
• Qualification in Collections or studying towards Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in EDC Collections and client service industry
• Experience and extensive knowledge in a similar industry will be an advantage
• Demonstrated experience managing more than one EDC Legal requirements

• Passed credit and criminal checks
• S.A Citizen or valid work permit for S.A
• Valid drivers license Training

• On the Job Training and vocational training Understanding

• Awareness of company policies and procedures
• Understand business ethics and values
• Understand company structure and reporting lines
• Understand the business processes and procedures
• Advanced level of IT Literacy (MS Package – Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Computer Literate able to operate MS Office and procurement system
• Knowledge of financial and budgeting principles
• Good numerical ability
• Knowledge of the client market/ industry/corporate customer and their needs
• Knowledge and understanding of Service levels agreements
• Understanding and keeping up with new trends and regulations in the business
• EDC relationship building
• Problem analysis and problem solving skills
• Understands and applies commercial and financial principles to improve company performance
• Ability to network with and influence senior people both internally and externally in order to a predefined outcome. KEY TASKS PER OUTPUTS
Work output 1: Financial Management

• Cost effective allocation and use of company resources
• Assist the company to meet its targets and stay within budget parameters
• Minimize spending costs Work output 2: Business Process Management

• Interpret and apply company policy, departmental procedures and EDC collections process
• Interpret and apply ( Respect, Integrity, Ownership and Excellence)
• Weekly and monthly reporting Strategy

• Present the Company at public functions, events and external meetings
• Conduct and chair meetings
• Compile and present reports to keep the Exco Team (key stakeholders) informed Operational

• Following market trends
• Reviewing panel external collectors
• Management of all handed over accounts within the EDC environment
• Implementation of appropriate collections strategies in the EDC environment
